1. General Information

Do I need to refuel the vehicle after every trip?

No, refueling or charging costs are always included in the price. You only need to refuel or recharge if the fuel/charge level is below 20% when returning the vehicle.

• If the level is above 20%, no action is required.
• If it’s below 20%, you must fully refuel the vehicle.
• For electric vehicles, you must plug them into the designated charging station upon return.

What are the insurance conditions for drivers?

As a driver and/or passenger, you are covered by comprehensive insurance, including liability insurance, except in cases of:

• Self-inflicted damage
• Rule violations

Our insurance covers:
• Damage to the rented vehicle
• Damage caused to third parties
• Not covered: Parking tickets, speeding fines, or other legal violations (these are your responsibility).

If necessary, "Respect Rule Fees" may apply.

What happens if I am late returning the vehicle?

• If you are less than 10 minutes late, you don’t need to do anything.
• If you are more than 10 minutes late, you must inform the owner. "Respect Rule Fees" may apply.

Can I return the vehicle to a different location than the starting point?

• In most cases, the return location is the same as the starting location.
• You can ask the owner if you can return the vehicle to another address within the same village, but this requires approval.
• The owner may also specify a different return location—always check your booking details!

How is my rental charged?

Your invoice includes:

Standard charges:
• Rental price
• Security deposit (refunded after the trip if no damage occurs)

Additional charges (if applicable):
• Selected options (deductible reduction, unlock fee, replacement car, etc.)
• Extra kilometers beyond the included KM package (minimum 35 km/day is always free)
• "Respect Rule Fees" for rule violations

What is the minimum and maximum rental duration?

• Minimum rental time: 3 hours
• Maximum reservation time: 9 consecutive hours (after that, a daily rate applies)
• Maximum continuous rental period: 7 days (extensions possible upon request via contact@letzgo-carsharing.lu)

Is there a kilometer limit?

Yes, the daily limit is 50 KM per day. If you need more, you can purchase an additional KM package.

What is the minimum age to rent a LetzGo vehicle?

• You must be at least 21 years old OR
• Have had a valid Luxembourgish or EU-recognized driver’s license for at least 2 years.

What should I do if I lose or find an item in the vehicle?

• If you lose an item: Contact the owner to check if it has been found.
• If you find an item: The owner will inform you what to do. They will assist you through the process—you don’t have to worry about anything!

Can I drive the vehicle outside Luxembourg?

• Yes, but our roadside assistance only operates within Luxembourg.
• If you have a breakdown or accident within 5 km of the Luxembourg border, assistance will still help, but costs may apply.
• No charges apply for assistance at IKEA, Messancy, Martelange, or other areas close to the Luxembourg border.
• If you have an accident further away (e.g., in Metz), assistance will still help, but towing and extra costs will be charged to you.

🚨 To prevent theft, you may receive a notification if the vehicle is outside this radius for an extended period.

• If you don’t respond, we will call you.
• If you repeatedly fail to respond, the vehicle will be immobilized, and the police will be contacted.

How can I cancel my subscription?

• You have a trial month where you can cancel anytime.
• After that, your subscription runs for 1 year.
• To cancel, you must do so at least 14 days before the end of your subscription year (not the calendar year) via the LetzGo app.
• If you don’t cancel, your subscription will automatically renew for another year.

💡 Reminder: Our Standard Subscription is free, but other plans may be more beneficial depending on your needs.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes, you can switch your subscription at any time.

Which driver’s licenses are accepted?

• LetzGo accepts all valid driver’s licenses with no restrictions.
• The license must not be fake, suspended, or expired.
• Every customer must pass a simple but strict document verification process.

2. In Case of Breakdown, Accident, or Other Questions

What should I do in case of a breakdown or accident?

1. Contact the vehicle owner immediately—they will guide you through the correct steps.
2. Secure the accident scene and inform our assistance service (phone number in the glove compartment).
3. Call the police if necessary.
4. You can also find all relevant documents and information in our Help Center.
